Waiting room of the Radiation Oncology department: inkjet print laminated on glass, LED lights, steel, 63.5 x 104.4 cm (each light box).

Art and architecture integration project for the waiting room of the Radiation Oncology Department at the Jewish General Hospital in Montréal.

Twelve light boxes placed on a large stone wall act like windows to the outside and bring life into the space through their content and colours. In the foreground of these images are macro photographs of buds and blossoms opening in the spring. These images allow us to see the detail of the shapes, textures and colours with the naked eye. In the background, twelve urban landscapes provide a contrast alluding to city life and the daily movement of city dwellers. The juxtaposition of these two universes demonstrate the relationship with time and capture the beauty of nature.
