Like a treasure chest, the box made of elm burl appears to conceal a precious object. In fact, this box contains a photograph, the image of a woman carrying the Earth on her head. Through the eyepiece, one can see the image illuminated by ambient light. The optical effect thus creates an intimate space between the observer and the subject.

While there are women whose courage attracts the attention of media worldwide, there are also all those who are anonymous and who show courage in their daily life each and every day. In this work, I wanted to make a connection between these women who share this will, determination and generosity.
